There are few things as satisfying as giving new life to a traditional piece of furniturethat's had a hard life and seen better days. I can replicate the original methods and materials used to create the piece, using techniques that go back centuries.
The piece doesn't have to be an antique to deserve a fresh new look. I have refreshed items from well worn dining chairs to Mid Century Modern.
I share a workshop with my carpenter husband, who can make frames for any piece of furniture from chairs to headboards. Just contact us with your ideas and we'll make them a reality.
What do you do with a second class degree in psychology? Go learn how to make puppets with the best guys in the business! Having learned the building skills with Ultimate Animates I made several puppets for children's tv shows and theatre productions.
A career as a tv cameraperson emerged from the puppets. I filmed all sorts of things, from Wales playing rugby to caving in Belize and went on expedition to K2. From here I met my husband Dave and we made a living filming the best climbers in the world.
We aged out of the dangerous sports and hanging off ropes, and built a business filming crafts people throughout the UK. Dave built studios, I produced educational films and an international quilting series. This re-kindled my love of creating.
I enrolled in a 3 year diploma in Upholstery through the AMUSF (Association of Master Upholsterers) graduatating with a distinction. We now work out of a combined woodworking and upholstery workshop in the woods with two nutty dogs. Living our best life!
